Law enforcement officials are searching for an individual in connection with an ongoing investigation into a suspected hit-and-run collision that resulted in serious injuries to a 17-year-old cyclist. According to Thames Valley Police, a motorcyclist did not remain at the site of the incident and departed following the crash, which occurred on Banbury Road in Oxford just after 08:15 GMT on Monday. The cyclist suffered injuries initially described as life-threatening and is currently hospitalized, listed in a serious but stable state. Authorities have indicated their desire to locate Nazim Kacem, 29, of Oxford, stating that he may possess “vital information” pertinent to the event. To date, four individuals have been apprehended as part of this inquiry. A 14-year-old male was released without facing charges, and three other individuals—a 50-year-old man, a 41-year-old man, and a 37-year-old woman, all residents of Oxford—were also released as the investigation proceeds. Detective Inspector Justin Thomas issued a statement, saying: “I am appealing to anybody who knows the whereabouts of Nazim Kacem to please contact Thames Valley Police.“We would like to speak to him as a matter of urgency in relation to this collision.“I would also like to appeal directly to Nazim to please contact us if you see this appeal.” Mr. Kacem, an Oxford resident, is also known to visit Bristol and the Crouch Hill area of London.
