An individual has received a prison sentence of three years and nine months for sexual offenses involving a child. Anthony Henderson, aged 62, residing at Francis Avenue, Withernsea, received his sentence at Hull Crown Court on 15 November. Henderson had previously admitted guilt to several charges: causing a child to engage in a sexual act, meeting a child following grooming, causing a child to watch a sexual act, and engaging in sexual communication with a child. Additionally, he has been issued a sexual harm prevention order and will be placed on the sex offenders register permanently. During October, law enforcement officials obtained evidence indicating Henderson had transmitted sexual messages to a fabricated online profile of an individual he thought was a 13-year-old girl. He transmitted sexually explicit material, featuring himself and others, to this profile and made arrangements to encounter the person he perceived to be a young girl in a public location. Detective Sergeant Frances Robinson stated: “Henderson is a sexual predator and I’m pleased he is now behind bars and unable to continue with his attempts to target vulnerable people.”
