An individual sustained injuries subsequent to what is believed to be a gas explosion at a residence in Preston. The end-terrace dwelling on Gillett Street experienced its windows being blown out by the force of the explosion, which occurred around 22:20 GMT on Saturday. The injured man received burns and was transported to a hospital for medical attention. Several adjacent properties were subject to evacuation. “I think there was more concern for the occupant – as long as he’s ok, that’s the main thing,” a resident living nearby communicated to the BBC. The Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service stated that it collaborated with the gas company Cadent to secure the location and initiated a collaborative inquiry alongside Lancashire Police. Structural engineers are scheduled to conduct an examination of the house on Sunday.
