An individual has been formally accused of possessing explosive materials under suspicious conditions, an action that followed a security alert in the vicinity of Maghera, County Londonderry. This alert was initiated after a suspicious item was found on Ranaghan Road on Tuesday, leading to the evacuation of several residences. The man, who is in his 50s, faces multiple charges, including possessing explosives under suspicious circumstances, possessing explosives with intent to endanger life or cause serious injury to property, cultivating cannabis, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, and possession of a Class B controlled drug. His court appearance is scheduled for Saturday at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court.
