An individual has been charged in connection with an alleged attack on two seals at a harbour in East Lothian. The 61-year-old was referred to the procurator fiscal following the incident, which took place near Victoria Road in North Berwick last Thursday afternoon. A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed that the man had been charged, though not arrested. They also stated that “partner agencies” had been contacted concerning the animals’ welfare and recommended that dog walkers “exercise caution” when visiting beaches in the area during the winter months.
