The band Idles is scheduled to headline a new music event this summer, marking their sole United Kingdom appearance for 2025. This festival is slated to take place over two evenings, on August 1 and 2, in Bristol’s Queen Square. The post-punk group will perform on both nights, supported by special guests, various live acts, and DJs. Tickets for this event are set to become available for purchase on November 8. Daniel Ealam and Scott O’Neill, the event’s organisers, stated: “Partnering with Idles, a band that embodies the spirit and resilience of Bristol, makes this even more significant for us.” Idles, known for their raw energy and unflinching performances, has emerged from Bristol’s underground scene to become one of the most influential bands of the past decade. Promoters Communion ONE described the event as “Bristol’s newest must-see event of the summer,” while also emphasizing its status as Idles’ only UK performance for 2025. Mr Ealam and MrO’Neill further commented: “It’s a space that’s right at the heart of the city which already brings some unforgettable communal experiences to the community. We love Bristol and everything that it represents so it’s important to us that we curate a new event with the people and the fans at the forefront. And let’s face it, Bristol in the summer – you just can’t beat it.”
