Hull KR has secured the signing of winger Lee Kershaw from the London Broncos on a two-year contract, effective upon the conclusion of his previous agreement. Kershaw’s career statistics include 24 tries across 73 Super League appearances for both Wakefield Trinity and London Broncos. The 25-year-old player made a notable impact last season for the team that finished at the bottom of the Super League standings, registering seven tries across all competitions. Kershaw’s move to Craven Park follows that of hooker Bill Leyland, both transferring from the south London club. He is expected to intensify competition for positions within Hull KR’s already robust backline. “I look forward to being a part of this ambitious club, and can’t wait to play in front of the devoted fan base that always brings the noise,” Kershaw stated on Hull KR’s official website. A native of Yorkshire, Kershaw commenced his professional career with Wakefield Trinity before transferring to the Broncos in 2023. During his tenure there, he became known for his proficiency in kick returns, his strategic vision, and his pace. Head coach Willie Peters commented, “We felt we needed further depth in the wing position and saw Lee as a very good fit for the club.” This acquisition marks Kershaw as the tenth player to join Rovers’ squad during the current close season, following their 9-2 loss to Wigan in the Super League Grand Final in October.
