Hull FC has announced the immediate release of three players, led by half-back Morgan Smith. The 26-year-old Smith, along with full-back Jack Walker and winger Liam Tindall, are now available to seek opportunities with other clubs. In the previous season, Smith participated in 26 matches. Walker, 25, featured in 20 appearances, and Tindall, 23, played three times. Hull FC concluded the 2024 Super League season in 11th position, ahead of the last-placed London Broncos solely due to points difference. Smith and Walker had both committed to two-year contracts upon their arrival 12 months prior, joining from Wakefield Trinity and city rivals Hull KR, respectively. Tindall had also signed a two-year agreement to transfer from Leeds Rhinos. However, the club’s new head coach, Australian John Cartwright, has consented to their early departures, a year before their contracts were due to expire.
