Hull City head coach Tim Walter, who joined the club in the summer after managing German second-tier team Hamburg, has stated he is not concerned by his team’s current position in the Championship’s bottom three. Following a 1-0 loss to Luton Town, which extended their winless streak to eight games and placed them 22nd in the relegation zone, Walter, a German, expressed his belief that it is too soon to panic, particularly ahead of Tuesday’s home fixture against Sheffield Wednesday at 19:45 GMT. Speaking to BBC Radio Humberside, he remarked, “We have 30 games to play and 30 games is a lot of points.” He added, “Everything can change in one week. The table is so close.” Walter, who succeeded Liam Rosenior during the summer, faced criticism from some Tigers supporters following the match at Kenilworth Road. This current sequence of eight games without a victory comes after an initial five-match winless period at the season’s outset, with three consecutive wins occurring between these two challenging phases. A victory against the Owls, however, could potentially elevate their standing to 16th place, contingent on other match results. Walter commented, “The players work for each other, they run for each other, they invest everything on the pitch.” He further stated, “That is progress. That is the improvement. It’s not normal if you’re a new group that you fight for each other. But that’s what I see and that’s what you need as a team and a club.” Post navigation Ageing Squad and Transfer Strategy Pose Concerns for Manchester City Cardiff City Appoints Richard Shaw as Assistant Coach
