A semi-detached residence, observed to be full of refuse, has been made available for auction, carrying a guide price of £100,000. Images of the property, which is owned by the council and located in Riddlesden, close to Keighley, reveal multiple rooms stacked high with discarded materials. The official listing for this house, situated on Scott Lane West, indicates that despite containing “a large amount of rubbish,” the residence could become “a pleasant family home” following refurbishment. This three-bedroom dwelling is currently being offered for sale through an online auction managed by Pugh Properties. The Local Democracy Reporting Service reports that Bradford Council acquired the property last year through a compulsory purchase order. In recent years, the council has acquired many properties with the intention of selling them at auction, aiming to reactivate privately owned houses that have remained vacant for extended periods. Inquiries have been made to Bradford Council regarding its reasons for purchasing this specific house; however, a response has not yet been received.
