A section of a hospital has resumed operations after two individuals, a man and a woman, sustained injuries on the premises. Law enforcement officials were summoned to the East Atrium of Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on Thursday at 13:30 GMT. According to the hospital, the specific area was cordoned off to conduct safety inspections and verify the integrity of its structures. Prof Lesley Dwyer, who serves as the chief executive of the hospital trust, confirmed that an investigation is currently underway. “The health and safety of everyone in our hospital is an absolute priority and we will take prompt action if further safety measures are identified and required as a result of this incident and ongoing investigations,” she added. Specific information regarding the occurrence has not been disclosed. The injuries sustained by the man and the woman are not considered to be life-threatening.
