Hearts has disclosed a partnership with Jamestown Analytics, a data analytics company. This agreement grants Hearts “exclusive” access within Scotland to player data services provided by the firm. Jamestown Analytics currently holds existing agreements with Brighton and the Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise, which is scheduled to compete against Rangers in the Europa League in January. According to CEO Andrew McKinlay, the club’s ability to leverage these analytics will support Hearts’ recruitment efforts, particularly as preparations are ongoing for the forthcoming January and summer transfer windows. Jamestown Analytics operates as a subsidiary of Starlizard, a data firm whose ownership traces back to Tony Bloom, a major shareholder in Brighton. Neither Hearts nor Jamestown Analytics has disclosed the financial terms of this arrangement. Prior to this, Hearts had engaged in discussions with Bloom and also recently appointed Graeme Jones to the position of sporting director. Mr. Jones is set to commence his new responsibilities on Monday. McKinlay stated, “Jamestown Analytics’ reputation in footballing circles is second to none.” He further added, “It is no understatement when I say that they have made ground-breaking progress with clubs across Europe, so to be Scotland’s sole beneficiaries of their expertise is truly exciting.“I fully believe that the club will reap the benefits of embracing this modern, innovative approach to analytics and we couldn’t be prouder to be associated with Jamestown Analytics as we take Hearts into a new era.” Justin Said, Jamestown Analytics’ managing director, commented that the company is “very selective about the clubs we want to work with.” He elaborated, “We feel that Hearts is a good fit.” In upcoming fixtures, Neil Critchley’s Hearts men’s team is scheduled to play against Scottish Premiership champions and current leaders Celtic at Tynecastle on Saturday at 19:45. Additionally, Eva Olid’s women’s team will compete away against SWPL opponents Aberdeen on Sunday at 13:00.
