Harlequins’ scrum-half, Will Porter, has committed to a new contract with the Premiership club. He has accumulated 28 appearances for the team, scoring seven tries. This development occurs one day after Quins announced that vice-captain Cadan Murley had also extended his deal at Twickenham Stoop. Porter, aged 25, joined Harlequins from Bristol Bears in 2023. Since his arrival, he has participated in 28 matches for the club, achieving seven tries. In the current season, he has featured in all six Premiership fixtures to date, starting five of them and scoring two tries. “I’ve loved my time at Quins. When I got the opportunity to extend my stay here, I jumped at it – I’m looking forward to the years to come,” Porter conveyed to the Harlequins website. Porter’s previous club was Wasps, where his contract was terminated in 2022 after the club entered administration. Subsequently, he joined Bristol, making only six appearances for the Bears before transferring to Harlequins the subsequent summer. Harlequins did not disclose the duration of Porter’s new contract.
