Tony Vance, who has managed Guernsey FC since the club’s formation over 13 years ago, will be temporarily absent from his position after suffering an accident. Vance, who has led the Green Lions since their establishment in 2011, is awaiting surgery for what the club describes as a “complicated break.” The incident took place on Saturday at Footes Lane, after he witnessed his team concede two late goals, leading to a 5-4 defeat against Moneyfields. Coaches Steve Sharman and Kevin Gilligan will assume responsibility for the team while Vance recuperates. Guernsey currently occupies the second-from-bottom position in the Isthmian League South Central, having achieved two wins from their 16 matches this season. Guernsey FC stated, “While Tony recuperates, he will remain involved with the team from a distance, offering his guidance and support.” Post navigation NIFL Chief Lawlor Calls Criticism of Larne’s European Defeat “Over the Top” Fan Perspective: Unbeaten Run Did Not Reflect True State of Thelin Project
