Greece had established a 17-point lead, holding a 39-22 score, shortly before half-time at the Copper Box Arena in London. However, the home team progressively narrowed this advantage. A pivotal moment for Great Britain occurred with a 21-3 scoring streak, establishing a 10-point lead for them. Despite a resurgence from the Greek team, the hosts managed to secure the win. Following three matches in Group F, Great Britain, Greece, and Slovakia each possess five points. Gabriel Olaseni led Great Britain in scoring with 16 points, while Akwasi Yeboah and Quinn Ellis each contributed 15 points. During a news conference, GB coach Marc Steutel stated: “It was a really gritty win for us. I was really proud of the group with some brilliant individual performances.” In the FIBA world rankings, Greece holds the 13th position, whereas Great Britain is ranked 50th. A rematch between the two teams is scheduled for 24 November in Pylaia.
