A play area situated in a Lincolnshire town has recommenced public access following an investment exceeding £100,000 in upgrades. Over 30 new pieces of equipment, featuring safe flooring and inclusive elements, have been introduced at the Beeden Park play area in Grantham. The financial backing for these enhancements was provided by the FCC Communities Foundation, supplemented by an additional £21,570 contribution from South Kesteven District Council (SKDC), and £5,000 from the Rotary Club of Grantham. The park’s amenities now encompass a multi-use games area, sensory boards, and fitness equipment suitable for individuals of all ages. According to SKDC, the upgrades were specifically conceived to accommodate all children, including those with restricted mobility or particular sensory needs. Penny Horne, the grant manager for FCC Communities Foundation, commented: “It’s wonderful to see something we have funded finally open and ready to make such a difference to young people and families across Grantham. FCC Communities Foundation is always happy to consider grant applications for projects that benefit local communities and this is a great example of what can be achieved.” Post navigation Festive Canal Celebration Returns to Towpath Newquay Charity Supporting Homeless and Vulnerable Announces Closure
