Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto, an Italy international, made a significant impact upon his introduction as a substitute, ultimately scoring the decisive goal in the 91st minute of a thrilling 4-3 victory against Swansea City. Despite the Whites trailing 2-1 at half-time, Gnonto conveyed to BBC Radio Leeds his firm conviction that his team would secure the win. Gnonto stated, “I always thought we could win it, even when we were losing we knew we had the chance to win. You can see the coach bringing on me, Mateo [Joseph], he made a statement. We wanted to win and we are happy to do it.” This triumph elevated Leeds to the top position in the Championship table. The “super sub” expressed confidence as the team prepares for their upcoming match against Luton Town on Wednesday.
