Thousands convened at Cheltenham Racecourse on Friday for the commencement of the November Meeting. This week, children in Gloucester prepared for the Tree of Light festival, preceding its lantern parade. Pupils from Coney Hill Community Primary have been constructing a giant snail for the city parade. Despite periods of grey cloud this week, the sun was visible, as captured in a photograph showcasing the reflection at Pittville Park in Cheltenham, where autumn sunshine complemented a clear blue sky. An exhibition titled ‘Our Creative Journey’ was organized by eight individuals living with Huntington’s disease in Gloucestershire. This art installation, hosted at St John the Baptist Church in Cirencester, underscored the significance of art in enhancing personal wellbeing. Numerous businesses, charities, families, and friends have engaged in fundraising efforts for BBC Children in Need this year. Among these was Sunshine Dance and Wellbeing in Cheltenham, which spent Friday morning dancing and preparing numerous Pudsey biscuits for distribution. The week concluded with an image of a tranquil Bourton-on-the-Water, a perfectly still scene.
