The organizers of Glastonbury Festival 2025 have announced that all tickets were sold out in less than 40 minutes. An online queue commenced at 09:00 GMT, with thousands of prospective attendees, and by 9:35 GMT, all available tickets had been purchased. This globally renowned event is scheduled to take place from 25 to 29 June, followed by a hiatus in 2026 to facilitate the recovery of the land at Worthy Farm in Somerset. The price for tickets was £373.50, in addition to a £5 booking fee, marking an increase of £18.50 compared to the 2024 cost. Glastonbury Festival communicated via a post on X, stating: “Tickets for Glastonbury 2025 have now Sold Out. “Thanks to everyone who bought one and sorry to those who missed out, on a morning when demand was much higher than supply.”There will be a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in spring 2025.” A new automatic queue system was implemented, requiring prospective buyers to be online prior to the sale’s commencement and possess a valid registration number. Some individuals reported difficulties with this new system. One X user commented: “I was on the booking page clicked proceed and then it crashed. Took me back to the booking page – crashed again – then I got a message saying all tickets have been sold out. This is not fair.” Another inquired: “Did anyone else get through, enter all details and then receive an access denied message?” Conversely, other users described a more positive experience. One stated: “Didn’t get tickets but the new system was a massive improvement on the last one. Much fairer.” Another remarked: “People love to moan. Didn’t get tickets but the system was a step in the right direction this year.” The organizers of the festival have been contacted for their comments. Registration for 2025 tickets concluded at 17:00 on 11 November, with a limit of six tickets purchasable per individual. Full payment for tickets is required by the end of 7 April 2025; any unpaid tickets will be made available for resale. Approximately 210,000 attendees were present at the Festival in June, where general admission tickets were depleted in under an hour. Coldplay, Dua Lipa, and SZA performed on the Pyramid Stage, while Shania Twain occupied the Sunday Legends slot. The lineup of artists for Glastonbury 2025 has not yet been revealed.
