Authorities in Glasgow have commenced a murder inquiry following the demise of a woman in the city. Emergency responders were dispatched to an incident in the St Mungo Avenue district of Glasgow around 12:55 on Tuesday. Sandie Butler, a 40-year-old Glasgow resident, was discovered with severe injuries and subsequently declared deceased a short time later. Investigators have classified the death as a murder after a post-mortem examination was conducted. Detective Chief Inspector Lynsey Watters, from the major investigation team, stated: “Our inquiries are ongoing and an extensive investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding this death. There remains an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues. We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything around the time of this incident to please contact police.” A dedicated website has been established by detectives for individuals to submit information directly, with an option for anonymity.
