Warwick District Council has introduced a new funding program aimed at assisting households experiencing difficulties due to cost of living pressures. The council stated that the grant is intended for initiatives that include providing activities and food during school holidays, supplying essential food and household items, and supporting individuals in accessing services. Not-for-profit organizations, community groups, and Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) are eligible to apply for a grant of up to £1,500. Jim Sinnott, portfolio holder for communities and leisure, commented: “We are very aware of the impact that the cost of living crisis continues to have on the most vulnerable groups in our community. These grants will help organisations who are at the heart of our communities provide support to those that really need it, so I’d encourage any groups and organisations eligible to apply.” Additionally, schemes that support people’s mental health and wellbeing and assist them with finances are also among those that could benefit from the fund.
