A substantial fire in Shepperton resulted in damage to four residences. Emergency responders were dispatched to an incident involving a property on Hawthorn Way around 20:30 GMT on Friday. Although the conflagration has been put out, four properties sustained impact, according to the Surrey Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS). Surrey Police reported that the thoroughfare remained inaccessible on Saturday, with individuals advised to steer clear of the vicinity. Six fire apparatus and a single water tender were deployed to the location. SFRS stated, “The fire is now out and, therefore, we will be scaling back on the number of fire engines in attendance soon while crews dampen down.” The fire service further commented, “We are working with partners to support the occupants.” In an earlier advisory, local inhabitants were cautioned to keep their windows and doors shut.
