Four individuals have been taken into custody after law enforcement officers located illicit drugs and an item believed to be an imitation firearm during a stop and search procedure. Surrey Police indicated that these arrests occurred while officers were conducting patrols in identified crime hotspots during the early hours of Wednesday. Police confirmed that the four men have since been released on bail, pending further investigation. Officers initially approached three men who were standing next to a vehicle on Station Approach Road in Tadworth, but one individual subsequently fled the scene. Police said: “The remaining two, as well as a further two inside the vehicle, were detained for searches, and officers found a bag containing Class A and Class B drugs, as well as what is believed to have been an imitation firearm.” The four men, all reported to be in their 20s, were apprehended on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, and on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
