Exeter City coach David Perkins has incurred a £500 fine from the Football Association following his red card incident during a match against Lincoln City. Perkins has served on Exeter City’s backroom staff since Gary Caldwell’s appointment as manager in October 2022. The 42-year-old was sent off in the 86th minute of the goalless draw that took place at St James Park earlier this month. An altercation occurred between Perkins and Lincoln City player Dom Jeffries after the Exeter coach retained possession of the ball once it had been kicked into the City dugout. Subsequent to an FA charge, Perkins conceded that his conduct was improper.
