An industrial building fire required firefighters to work for 12 hours to bring it under control. The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident, located on Pontardawe Road in Pontardawe, Neath Port Talbot, at 14:57 GMT on Monday. The blaze was extinguished shortly before 03:00 on Tuesday. According to the fire service, 15 crews encountered a rapidly escalating fire that affected storage units and various manufacturing chemicals. They also stated that no casualties resulted from the incident, and personnel successfully stopped the fire, which originated in the rear storage units, from extending to the primary building structure.
