A fire has resulted in the destruction of two barns that served as storage for hay and tractors. Firefighting teams from eight different stations were dispatched to Marchwood Road in Eling, Totton, on Thursday evening, just prior to 21:00 GMT. According to the fire service, the blaze engulfed over 500 bales of hay and three tractors. Additionally, 150 cattle located in the vicinity were successfully relocated to safety. Throughout the night, personnel utilized hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to combat the flames. Equipment was also deployed to turn over the burning hay and other debris. Marchwood Road remained inaccessible in both directions overnight, specifically between Jacobs Gutter Lane and Bury Lane. The fire service reported that emergency teams are still present at the location, and the fire was permitted to extinguish itself in a controlled manner.
