The last allocation of tickets for London’s yearly New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacle will become available for purchase at midday on Monday. These tickets are priced between £20 and £50, depending on the designated viewing area, with London residents receiving a £15 reduction compared to visitors. The initial sale of tickets commenced on October 18. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan commented, “I’m proud that every year the eyes of the world look to London to see how we welcome in the new year.” He further advised, “Our tickets are always in high demand so I urge anyone wanting to attend this fantastic evening to buy them as soon as possible from our only authorised outlet.” The festivities are initiated by the chimes of Big Ben and are broadcast live globally by the BBC. For the 12-minute display, ticket prices for certain viewing zones have more than doubled, increasing from £20 to £50. City Hall explained that this year’s price adjustments were made to “enhance security and crowd management.” It was underscored that only tickets procured from the official sales partner, Ticketmaster, would be accepted. Last year, issues arose due to the circulation of fraudulent tickets. For additional content, listeners can access BBC Radio London on Sounds and follow BBC London on Facebook, X, and Instagram.
