An individual has been apprehended at a ferry terminal on suspicion of drug-related offenses, following the collapse of another passenger during a crossing. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary stated that officers were dispatched to the Red Jet terminal in Cowes on Thursday, shortly before 22:00 GMT. The passenger who collapsed, a man in his 20s, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for medical attention. The force indicated that a 60-year-old man from Totland was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug, and he currently remains in custody. This incident led to delays for the Red Jet Hi-Speed crossings, specifically the 22:30 departure from Southampton and the 23:15 GMT service from Cowes. Red Funnel reported that the catamaran, Red Jet 7, resumed its operations within 10 minutes. For updates, BBC Hampshire & Isle of Wight can be followed on Facebook, X, or Instagram.
