TV and radio personality Fearne Cotton and her husband Jesse Wood have announced their separation after a decade of marriage. In a post shared on Instagram on Friday, the 43-year-old host stated: “It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage.” She further emphasized that their children “will always be” their primary concern. Cotton and Wood, who is the son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, married in 2014, a year following the announcement of their engagement. The couple shares a son named Rex and a daughter named Honey. Additionally, Wood has two children from a previous relationship. Within her Instagram message, Cotton also included the request: “We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time.” Last week, Cotton had provided an update on her health, revealing she had undergone an operation to remove two benign tumours from her jaw. In an Instagram post at the time, she expressed being “very grateful they’re benign” and mentioned her plan to “be resting to get better before Christmas.” Cotton’s television career began in the 1990s, where she presented children’s programmes. She joined BBC Radio 2 in 2016 and is recognized for hosting the network’s Sounds Of The 90s show. In 2017, she disclosed her struggles with depression in her book, Happy. During an interview at that time, she offered practical advice for managing the condition and admitted that her real life was significantly different from what she portrayed on social media. Currently, she hosts the Happy Place podcast, which has featured interviews with various celebrities, including film and TV star David Tennant. Copyright 2024 BBC. All rights reserved.
