The family of a motorcyclist who died in a collision has described him as a “kind, gentle giant” who was “full of life.” Gaz Lavender, 43, was operating a blue Yamaha motorcycle when it was involved in a collision with a blue Volkswagen Transporter on the A460 in Rugeley, Staffordshire, at approximately 07:30 GMT on 5 December. Staffordshire Police reported that emergency services were called to the scene, where Mr. Lavender was pronounced dead. In their tribute to Mr. Lavender, his family stated: “Gaz was a kind gentle giant, full of life. He was incredibly funny and loved by all who knew him.” They added, “His passion for music and motorbikes is unmatched. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.” A police spokesperson indicated that officers are providing support to the family and are appealing for information from anyone who was travelling in the area at the time of the collision.
