Kent Police have reported that a motorcyclist passed away after a collision occurred on the M25 motorway, in the vicinity of the Dartford Crossing. Emergency services were summoned to the clockwise carriageway, situated on the Kent side, at approximately 14:30 GMT on Wednesday. Both police officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) responded to the site; however, the motorcyclist, identified as a man in his fifties, was declared deceased at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the man’s immediate family members have been notified of his death. The thoroughfare was shut down during the emergency response and did not achieve full reopening until 23:45. This closure resulted in “heavy” traffic disruption on the A2 and A13, leading to significant congestion in Dartford and Greenhithe due to diverted vehicles. Kent Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, or individuals possessing relevant footage, to come forward and contact them.
