A woman has died following a dog attack that took place at a flat in Aberdeen. Michelle McLeod, 41, passed away at the location after emergency services responded to the incident on Foresterhill Road in the city on Saturday night. Police reported that the dog involved, understood to be registered as an American Bulldog, has since been destroyed. Ms McLeod’s family issued a statement, saying: “She was a much-loved mother, daughter and friend to many and will be sorely missed by all who knew her”. Police Scotland confirmed that inquiries into the incident are ongoing. A spokesperson for the force stated: “Police received a report that a woman had been seriously injured by a dog within a flat.” Emergency services were present, however, the 41-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at the site. Ms McLeod’s family has requested privacy after her death.
