Police have confirmed the death of a 59-year-old man following a collision on the Ballamodha Straight. James Errol Tahsin was involved in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 07:45 GMT on Wednesday. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to the UK for medical treatment, and a passenger in the same vehicle also sustained injuries. The Isle of Man Constabulary reported that a comprehensive forensic investigation was conducted at the scene by the Roads Policing Unit. The incident involved two local male drivers. The police stated: “It’s now with great sadness, we can confirm as a result of sustaining fatal injuries, the death of the driver, James Errol Tahsin, aged 59 years.” They added: “We would like to pass our condolences to the family and friends of Mr Tahsin.” Officers are providing support to Mr Tahsin’s family, police confirmed. “We request that the public refrain from speculating as to the circumstances of the collision, and would ask that the privacy of all is respected at this time,” police urged.
