A two-vehicle collision in County Donegal, situated near the Northern Ireland border, has resulted in the deaths of two men and injuries to three other individuals. The incident occurred on Friday around 22:00 local time, specifically on the N15 road at Liscooley, close to Castlefinn. The deceased, identified locally as friends Ryan Glenn and Gordy Galbraith, were both in their 30s and occupied the same vehicle. It is understood that both individuals originated from Castlederg, a town in County Tyrone. From the second vehicle involved, a man and woman, both in their 70s, were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Additionally, a woman in her 30s suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening, as reported by gardaí (Irish police). Fr Patsy Arkinson, the local parish priest for Crossroads, Killygordon, was present at the site of the collision. He informed RTÉ that the local community was “shocked and hurt” in the aftermath of the event. The gardaí have issued an appeal for any witnesses or motorists who might possess camera footage recorded in the vicinity at the time of the collision to come forward and contact them.
