Leeds United is set to play host to Luton Town on Wednesday, following their recent 4-3 win against Swansea City. This victory has extended their strong performance in the Championship, where they have suffered only one loss in their last 11 games. BBC Radio Leeds will provide pre-match coverage leading into full match commentary starting at 18:00 GMT, featuring former United head coach Neil Redfearn, alongside Jonny Buchan and Adam Pope. Daniel Farke, Leeds’ manager, addressed reporters at Thorp Arch on Monday in anticipation of the upcoming fixture. He indicated that there are no new injury concerns, but mentioned he might “have to rotate a bit more” than usual due to the schedule of matches against Luton and Blackburn this week. Defender Isaac Schmidt, who is recovering from a hernia, will not be available for the game against the Hatters, but is projected to rejoin team training on Thursday. Regarding Manor Solomon, who recently netted his inaugural goals for the club during the Swansea match after joining on loan from Spurs, Farke commented: “Yesterday, with just over 70 minutes, it was probably his best performance in the shirt and most effective performance for his mood with the two goals.” Farke further stated that “it’s not likely a winger will play all three games over 90 minutes” this week. Farke noted that “the story of the game made us be a bit careful” during the Swansea fixture, where Leeds held a 3-2 lead in the closing minutes before ultimately securing the win in injury time via Wilfried Gnonto, after the opposing team had equalized. Farke expressed, “I would have preferred us to press a bit more,” elaborating, “High pressing like before, more pressure on the ball.” Farke highlighted that the Leeds squad possesses “great characters,” which was instrumental in their success in South Wales. He stated, “It’s a joy to work with them, it’s not so difficult to lead this group.” Farke continued, “We also try not to let the standards drop and aim for the highest targets. We won 90 points last season but we’re not happy because we didn’t finish in the top two. We know right now we’re in a good spell but even after such a game we speak about the things that were not perfect.” Addressing the upcoming challenge presented by Luton, Farke remarked: “For me they are one of the contenders for the top six. There’s no doubt about this, they played last season in the Premier League. When you are relegated it’s quite often difficult to avoid a hangover in the Championship. Sometimes you have to accept a poor start. They still have lots of quality and physicality in their team. They have a manager who has worked miracles for them.” Post navigation Kettlewell Calls for Continued Fan Support During Team’s Difficult Period Preston Boss Heckingbottom Disappointed by Lindsay’s Red Card in QPR Loss
