Family Pays Tribute to 21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Collision

The family of George Joseph Powell, 21, from the Guilsfield area of Powys, has paid tribute to their “loved son, brother and grandson” after he died in a motorcycle collision. Mr. Powell was pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday, on the A490 between Guilsfield and Welshpool. He had been riding a yellow Honda MSX. In a statement released through the police, his family characterized George as “the best parts of all of us,” adding that his “sweet and caring nature shone through in everything he did”. They further stated that George “loved animals, all big and small, was “gentle and kind-hearted”, and consistently saw the best in people. Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that their investigation into the incident is ongoing. The force has urged any witnesses who might have observed the motorcycle prior to the collision to contact them.
