Family of Crash Victim Matthew Newton: ‘Our House is Far Too Quiet Now’

Relatives of a 28-year-old man who died in a road accident have honored him as an “amazing human” who experienced life to the “absolute fullest”. Matthew Newton’s death occurred when his Ford Raptor veered off the A69 roadway close to Throckley, Newcastle, at 23:30 GMT on November 28. His family, based in Carlisle, issued a statement declaring, “our house is far too quiet now without him”. A 34-year-old man has been charged by Northumbria Police with causing death by dangerous driving and is scheduled to appear before Newcastle Crown Court on Monday. His relatives, describing Mr Newton, who operated a car showroom, stated: “Matthew lived his life to the absolute fullest and had the best friends anyone could wish for.” They added, “He was an amazing human who would do anything for anyone, our house is far too quiet now without him, when Matthew was in a room we all knew it.” They concluded, “He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered for his beautiful personality, his kindest heart and his dazzling smile.”
