The relatives of a man who died after being stabbed in the chest have characterized him as a “kind, caring and gentle guy”. Abdulkadar Chadli, 48, was discovered deceased on Mousehold Street in Norwich at approximately 22:15 GMT on November 1. His family stated: “It is so very very sad that such a kind, caring and gentle guy was taken so violently from his friends and family.” They added: “I wish we could tell him how much we miss him and love him and how every day we wish we had appreciated the short time we got to spend with him.” The joint statement from the family recounted his frequent long absences from home due to his work at sea. They concluded: “Now we just must try to imagine that this trip will be a little bit longer, but we will see him again one day.” Elvis Vickers, 46, from Mousehold Street in Norwich, has been charged with murder, with a provisional trial date scheduled for March. A 37-year-old man arrested in connection with the reported stabbing has been released on bail as further inquiries are conducted.
