All-rounder Freya Kemp, a left-arm seamer who claimed two wickets in the T20 series against South Africa, is set to miss the remainder of England’s tour of South Africa. This decision has been made by the touring side to manage her workload in preparation for the Women’s Ashes. The 19-year-old Kemp participated in all three T20 matches against the Proteas. Although she was initially included in the squad for the upcoming three-match one-day series and the single Test match, England has now chosen to rest her prior to next month’s journey to Australia. England secured a 3-0 victory in the T20 series held in South Africa. The first One-Day International is scheduled for Wednesday in Kimberley. The Women’s Ashes, a multi-format series, is slated to commence on 11 January.
