Two 84-year-old women were hospitalized with “life changing” injuries after being struck by a vehicle on a zebra crossing. The collision occurred near a Tesco Express store on Bricknell Avenue, Hull, at approximately 18:50 GMT on Tuesday, when a black Ford Fiesta reportedly collided with the women. Humberside Police reported that the women suffered serious injuries, which are believed to be life changing. The police force confirmed that the driver of the car failed to stop at the scene. Subsequently, a 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Authorities are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, or dashcam footage, to contact the police by calling 101.
