Police have confirmed that a woman in her 80s passed away following a collision on the A30 in Cornwall. Devon and Cornwall Police reported that they were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the westbound carriageway at the Plusha junction near Launceston at approximately 08:25 GMT on Thursday. The force released a statement, saying: “A woman sustained life-threatening injuries and despite medical treatment, was confirmed deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.” Officers verified that the woman was the driver of one of the cars involved. They indicated that a road closure was implemented to allow emergency services to manage the incident site. The police force is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
