A fire at a scrap metal yard necessitated the deployment of eight fire engines. The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to Alexandra Dock, situated near Edward Benefer Way in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, at approximately 22:39 GMT on Thursday. As crews worked to extinguish the fire, the service indicated that no other businesses in the vicinity were affected. The site was subsequently inspected on Friday for any remaining fire hotspots, none of which were found. Norfolk Police confirmed that no one was injured in the incident. The situation was brought under control around 00:20, and the force reported that no crime had been recorded. A fire investigation is now underway.
