Police in Derbyshire have launched an investigation after a man died in a road accident. A Land Rover Discovery collided with a bridge on the B5053 Buxton Road, located between Buxton and Longnor, at approximately 08:30 GMT on Thursday. Derbyshire Police confirmed that the driver, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. The force is urging any witnesses, or individuals possessing information or dashcam footage, to come forward.
