Police reported that a man who deserted his car after being observed driving at speeds exceeding 110mph (177km/h) was located. His identification was made possible because he had left a package containing his name and address inside the vehicle. Officers from the BCH Road Policing Unit indicated on X that the motorist had failed to stop for them on the M25 and was using “false plates.” The car was subsequently discovered abandoned. The unit posted, “Suspect helpfully left us his name and address in the car on a parcel – Silly boy!”, further stating that the vehicle had been seized and that “prosecution to follow.”
