Police officers have labeled a man’s actions as “deplorable” after he was observed recording a medical emergency on his mobile phone while driving. Leicestershire Police reported that a woman experienced a medical episode on Burton Street, Melton Mowbray, at approximately 13:45 GMT on Tuesday, and a passing motorist “thought it would be a good idea to film this”. The driver was subsequently stopped and issued a traffic offence report. This report could lead to six points being added to his licence and a £200 fine. In a post on social media, the force stated that filming the “busy and distressing scene” was a “deplorable thing to do”. They further added: “Hopefully this post acts as a reminder to those who think this type of behaviour is acceptable. “Have some respect for other people and concentrate on driving correctly.””
