George Dobson suggests that the extensive roster of Wrexham will provide an opportunity for some less frequently utilized players to demonstrate their capabilities during the FA Cup matches scheduled for the upcoming weekend. The team managed by Phil Parkinson is set to compete in a first-round fixture against Harrogate Town this Sunday at 15:30 GMT, with the objective of extending their commendable performance history in the tournament. Under Parkinson’s leadership, Wrexham has advanced to the fourth round of the cup competition in both of the previous two seasons. Midfielder Dobson also expressed his view that the away game against League Two Harrogate will prove advantageous for those players seeking additional playing time. “We have a huge squad so there’s going to be a lot of players hopefully getting minutes,” he stated to BBC Radio Wales. If Wrexham successfully defeats Harrogate, they will be positioned one stage away from a potential encounter with Premier League teams in the third round. Dobson further commented, “It’s a great opportunity to get to the third round and having a really good game hopefully against a real big boy.” He concluded, “I know the club have done really well in the last couple of years, so hopefully we can do it again.”
