Law enforcement officials have implemented dispersal orders in two Nottingham localities in anticipation of Bonfire Night. These directives apply to St Ann’s Well Road and sections of Clifton, commencing at 16:00 GMT on Tuesday for a duration of 24 hours, with the possibility of being “re-imposed at any time”. According to officers, the order for St Ann’s was issued following “several reports” of anti-social conduct on Friday, involving groups of young individuals allegedly discharging fireworks. The directive for Clifton, encompassing Southchurch Drive, Green Lane, Noble Road, Angel Green, and the tram pathway through Clifton, addresses “issues last Bonfire Night,” as stated by Nottinghamshire Police in an official communication. Inspector Steve Dalby, who serves as the city south neighbourhood policing inspector, indicated that the purpose of these orders is to avert a recurrence of the “unacceptable” events from the previous year, such as fireworks being directed at vehicles and individuals. Mr. Dalby further stated, “These dispersal orders will allow us to target groups who are perceived as causing or likely to cause nuisance.” He also remarked, “We have seen how successful these orders can be in preventing anti-social behaviour when they have been put in place to prevent car cruising in areas of the city south.” Additionally, he expressed, “I hope members of the community welcome our targeted and robust response to the small number of troublemakers.” Post navigation Man Who Killed Infant Son Receives Hospital Order Man Sentenced to Two Years for Supermarket Ram-Raid Attempt
