Police authorities have enacted a dispersal order for a section of Worcester, prompted by an escalation in anti-social behaviour. This directive took effect in Warndon at 17:00 GMT on Wednesday and is scheduled to remain active until 17:00 GMT on Friday. West Mercia Police indicated that the measure was introduced in response to anti-social conduct by young individuals in the Cranham Drive vicinity of Warndon earlier this week. The geographical scope encompassed by the order includes Cranham Drive, Shap Drive, and their adjacent areas. Law enforcement officers are authorized to utilize dispersal orders to instruct individuals suspected of engaging in anti-social behaviour to leave a designated zone. Inspector Tanya Beckett urged residents not to be alarmed if they observed an increased police presence within Warndon. “The aim of the order is to prevent a minority from ruining it for the majority trying to go about their normal business in peace and for us to provide reassurance to the public,” she said.
