Devon Air Ambulance has launched its inaugural community landing site in Plymouth. Located on North Down Crescent, Keyham, this facility represents the first official city centre landing site and the first within the city itself. A spokesperson for the charity stated that the site’s activation allows aircraft to land rapidly and securely within Plymouth, a city characterized by its dense population and significant urban development. Graham Coates, the landing site manager at Devon Air Ambulance, noted that the facility would enable crews to “reach even more local people by air when its dark”. He added, “It’s great to see one landing site become operational in a busy city centre,”. He also stated, “Our next site in Central Park will simply increase the number of patients we can reach quickly and safely, during the hours of darkness.” Plymouth councillor Tom Briars-Delve remarked: “We’re delighted that the park at North Down Crescent is now officially a Devon Air Ambulance night time landing spot. “We’re hoping it never has to be used but with the site now operational it could potentially be lifesaving to anyone needing it in the surrounding area, something we are proud to be able to offer the community.”” Post navigation Hospital Trust’s Ward Reorganization to Undergo Council Scrutiny Jersey Santa Dash Event Raises £11,000 for Hospice Care
