Approximately 100 decorated agricultural vehicles are anticipated to parade through Southam, Warwickshire, as part of its second annual Christmas tractor event. This event, arranged by the farming family Charley and Josh Peake, is scheduled to commence at the Dallas Burston Polo Club around 17:45 GMT on Friday. Mrs. Peake stated her expectation that between 90 and 100 vehicles, encompassing both tractors and smaller vehicles, all embellished with decorations and lights, would participate. She informed BBC CWR that the decision to organize the inaugural event last year, which saw 52 vehicles participate, was made after observing the tractor run in Banbury. “I’d say we’re going to be double the size tonight. We’ve had so much interest… a lot of local farmers have messaged saying they’re going to bring their tractors,” she further commented. The festive procession is anticipated to make stops at 11 different locations prior to its return to the Dallas Burston Polo Club. Mrs. Peake mentioned that she and her husband had dedicated approximately a week to preparing their personal tractor. “We’ve spent quite a bit of money on the sound system on the back of the tractor so you’ll definitely hear us coming tonight,” she stated. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Galanos House in Southam, a care home operated by the Royal British Legion.
